Before I joined the digital sex industry, I used to consider phone sex a thing of the past, it was one of those scenes in the movies from the 80s, where the male protagonist, after visiting a store with video cassettes, calls a sex line and develops some kind of romantic relationship with the mysterious phone sex operator with the troubled past. Why would anyone even be interested in this today?
The bad news first: It is a thing of the past and my personal opinion is that when the older clients (over 60 years old) pass away and stop using it, the newer generations will just move on to virtual reality porn and the phone sex sites will turn into ghost towns.
That being said, with camming becoming an oversaturated market, drones of desperate women strapped for cash turn into phone sex. It must be easier than camming right? You can take calls wearing your pajamas and watching Netflix in between, how difficult can it be? And that gave rise to a new sketchy industry (especially on YouTube, but also on various blogs and forums): the self proclaimed "Niteflirt experts".
ATTENTION: Highly inflammatory, politically incorrect content coming up:
When I first started on Niteflirt, I watched dozens of YouTube videos of a very specific curvy lady (I will not mention her YouTube channel name for her privacy), who claimed to have been a top gold Niteflirt performer many times and that her advice could help the newbie flirts (the name of a sex phone operator is a flirt) to ''live comfortably and pay all the bills''. What really seemed strange to me about her, was how unladylike she behaved on her videos (there was farting, burping and a lot of ghetto behaviors in general), definitely not what you would imagine as a top seductress and the fact that according to her ''she stopped focusing on Niteflirt because she wanted to do something with her life''. I don't know about you, but if you have found something that makes you closer to $10k per month, you will not see it as something preventing you from living your life, right? Also, you would not be sharing it with many others for the price of a few ''personal consultations". People with legit money money methods usually keep to themselves.
Long story short: the industry of ''making money doing X/Y/Z'', consists mainly of scammers selling you the secret method to make money by lying or exaggerating their earnings. And the real money come from the cashcows they supposedly teach. The Niteflirt gurus are no exception.
Back to the curvy YouTube lady who is today's example: most of her advice focused on technical parts of phone sex (how to bid, how to sign up etc) and the rest was plainly wrong. For example, Niteflirt allows you to catfish using photos of other women, but this is not a strategy that will allow you to make over $4k monthly and I will tell you why:
The real money are on ''phone with cam'', aka you making a webcam show on Skype with the client, while keeping the phone on. I will make a post explaining exactly what I do on phone with cam that you can copy and be successful.
How are you going to appear on cam exactly when you have been using someone else's photos?
Disclaimer: I support whatever you can do to enhance YOUR virtual and real life looks. Filters in your photos? Use them. High end make up to look younger? Go for it. Porn and phone actresses, are exactly that (actresses) and we can use whatever we can to look pretty. A catfish is not the same.
The YouTube videos and forums leave out 90% of the info you will need to make money in the industry. I am not sure if they do that to kill competition before it even emerges or because they are bad people getting off at deceiving others or because they are such losers that they need the ''I am making money by teaching others how to make money'' scheme to pay their bills, since their little catfishing plan failed on Niteflirt.
NOTHING BEATS FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE. I could be talking all day about how you milk a cow, but unless you go and put your hands on an actual cow, you will never know what it's like. Also, sex work can differ from person to person. Maybe you are naturally more sociable and flirty or less shy, maybe you are kinky, maybe you have hungry kids depending on you and you can endure 15 hour shifts. Other people's experience will not necessarily be your experience. Don't let them discourage you.
Now stop wasting your time on YouTube and go sign up on Niteflirt to get the necessary first hand experience on what phone sex is REALLY like.
